Make sure your anti-virus has Xcom2's exe file set to ignore/whitelisted for active scanning, and its folders marked similarly. Make sure Xcom2 is not installed to a protected folder (ie program files) as windows will often cause issues for saving with game data in these directories. Some things that can help resolve this are 'Lost' saves usually happens when something is amiss when you saved (ie some corruption in the data) or if the save later becomes corrupted by other means.
